American Barndos is a plan catalog built for one building type. Post frame and steel frame homes with a shop attached. Not house plans with a garage bolted on the end. The shop is a first class specification here: square footage, clear span, door height, and slab are on every plan card because those numbers decide whether the building works for you.

Every plan in the catalog has a named designer of record and a written license scope. If a plan is missing either record, it does not render on this site.

The company of record

American Barndos is a trade name of National Barndos LLC, DBA American Barndos. One company, one agreement. That name is what appears on your order, your receipt, and every legal document on this site.

• We sell design documents. Plan sets, CAD files, material lists, and modifications. Ships to all fifty states.
• We do not build. We are not a general contractor, we hold no contractor license, and we do not manage or advise on construction. Construction is performed by independently licensed building companies you contract with directly.

A plan purchase is a document purchase. It is not a home, not a bid, not a price, and not a promise to build.
