Free Preview Terms

This is version 1.0.0 of the Free Preview Terms, effective August 1, 2026.

American Barndos lets you unlock a free preview of any plan on the site. This document explains what the preview is, what it is not, and how we handle the information you give us to unlock it.

The free preview is a limited, watermarked version of a plan set. It exists so you can get a feel for a design before you buy.

• It is not dimensioned. Measurements shown, if any, are approximate and not for use in construction or estimating.
• It is not stamped by any engineer or architect.
• It is not a construction document and cannot be permitted, bid, or built from.
• It is not the final content of the plan set you would receive with a purchase, which may include additional sheets, details, and specifications not shown in the preview.

We license the preview to you for personal evaluation only, so you can decide whether to purchase the plan. You may not:

• Reproduce, copy, screenshot, or otherwise duplicate the preview beyond viewing it for your own evaluation.
• Distribute, post, or share the preview with any other person or platform.
• Submit the preview to a plan reviewer, permitting office, builder, or estimator for pricing, bidding, or permitting purposes.
• Use the preview as a basis for construction of any kind.

Any use beyond personal evaluation ends your license to the preview and may infringe the copyright described in our Copyright Policy.

The preview download link expires seven days after it is issued. After expiration, you will need to unlock the preview again with your email and ZIP code to receive a new link. We may change link duration at any time without notice.

To unlock a preview, we ask for your email address and ZIP code.

• Your email is used to send the preview link and, unless you opt out, occasional related communications about the plan you viewed and similar designs.
• Your ZIP code is used to estimate your general location and to route relevant local information to you, such as typical wind and snow load requirements.

We do not require a phone number, mailing address, or payment information to unlock a preview. For more detail on how we collect, use, share, and protect this information, see our Privacy Policy.

Preview content is provided for general reference only. American Barndos does not warrant that the preview accurately reflects the final purchased plan set in every detail, including layout notations, callouts, or draft dimensions that may change before final release.
