Terms of Use

This is version 1.0.0 of the Terms of Use, effective August 1, 2026.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of americanbarndos.com, operated by National Barndos LLC, DBA American Barndos ("American Barndos", "we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to these terms.

You may use this site to browse, preview, and purchase house plan sets. You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these terms and our other posted policies, including the Plan License Terms, Preview Terms, and Copyright Policy.

You may need an account to unlock previews, complete a purchase, or manage your orders. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You agree not to:

• Use the site to scrape, copy, or extract plan content beyond your licensed use.
• Attempt to bypass preview limitations, watermarks, or download link restrictions.
• Interfere with the site's operation, security, or availability.
• Upload harmful code or attempt unauthorized access to our systems.
• Use the site to impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

Orders are placed through the site and processed through Stripe. All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. By placing an order, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the amount shown at checkout, including applicable taxes. We are not responsible for delays or errors caused by your payment provider.

Plan sets are delivered digitally, generally as a download link sent to the email address used at checkout. Delivery terms, including formats and refund conditions, are described in our Plan License Terms.

The site itself, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by American Barndos or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Plan content is subject to the ownership and license terms described in our Copyright Policy and Plan License Terms. Nothing in these Terms of Use transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you beyond the specific license you purchase.

If you submit content to us, such as a build profile answer, a review, or a message to customer support, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use that content to operate and improve our services. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.

The site may link to third-party sites, including builder websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites.

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, American Barndos will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the site or any plan set, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to American Barndos in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You agree to indemnify and hold American Barndos harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your violation of these terms, your misuse of a plan set, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact us at legal@americanbarndos.com and attempt to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days before filing any claim in court or otherwise. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
