Churn Dash

Churn Dash is built around the kitchen. You step off a 43 foot covered front porch into an entry that opens straight into the living room, with dining right behind it and the kitchen across the back wall: a U of counters, an island that seats three, and a 7 by 9 walk-in pantry. The 18 by 12 primary suite has its own walk-in closet and a full bath with a double vanity and tub, and Bedroom 2 is a roomy 13 by 14 with a full hall bath next door. The working side is where this plan earns its keep: from the 20 by 36 attached garage you walk into a mudroom with a drop zone, then laundry, a guest powder room and a dedicated mechanical room, so the mess never reaches the living space. Outside it reads as a classic farmhouse ranch with board and batten, a stone wainscot and cedar porch posts. Good to know: there is no formal foyer, the two bedrooms sit side by side rather than split, and there is no separate shop.

The structure is post frame, so the load path is simple and the interior walls are mostly partitions. That matters when you want to move a wall later, and it matters when a framing crew prices the shell. 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths sit on one level, with 2 garage bays.
