Lemoyne Star

Lemoyne Star is a long, easy to build plan that still feels welcoming the minute you walk up. A covered porch with a timber framed gable runs the full 31 foot front of the house. Inside, a proper entry leads down a central hall, so the bedrooms stay off the living space. At the back, the living room, dining room and kitchen open up into one bright room with an L shaped kitchen and a 12 by 5 walk in pantry. The primary suite has a 14 by 12 bedroom, a walk in closet and a bath with a double vanity, a tub and a private toilet room. Bedrooms 2 and 3 sit across the hall with a shared full bath between them. The laundry room has a sink and sits near the front door with the mechanical room. Outside it is dark board and batten over a brick wainscot with cedar porch posts. Good to know: there is no kitchen island, no garage or shop, and the primary suite is on the same hall as the other bedrooms.

The structure is post frame, so the load path is simple and the interior walls are mostly partitions. That matters when you want to move a wall later, and it matters when a framing crew prices the shell. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths sit on one level.
