Friendship Star

Friendship Star is built for families who are tired of sharing a bathroom. Every one of the three bedrooms has its own full bath, and a powder room off the hall takes care of guests. French doors open from a covered front porch into one long great room where the living room, dining room and kitchen all share the view. The kitchen has a big island with seating for four, a second sink run along the front wall and a 9 by 5 walk in pantry. The primary suite has a 10 by 7 walk in closet and a bath with a walk in shower and a double vanity. A small office sits off the living room, and the laundry room has its own outside door for muddy days. Outside it is a white finish over a stone wainscot with stone porch piers and cedar posts. Good to know: there is no foyer, the bedrooms all sit along the back wall instead of being split, and there is no garage or shop.

The structure is post frame, so the load path is simple and the interior walls are mostly partitions. That matters when you want to move a wall later, and it matters when a framing crew prices the shell. 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths sit on one level.
